Folke Ohlsson armchair "Profile" DUX of Sweden 1960

Folke Ohlsson armchair  "Profile"  made by DUX of Sweden around 1960. 

Good condition. Original fabric in beige velvet.

Depth : 91 cm - Width : 86 cm - Height : 86 cm - Seat Height : 41 cm.

DUX launched a number of generously increased upholstered seating furniture during the 1950s, and in the 1957 catalogue, among renowned designers such as Lena Larsson, Borge Mogensen and Gunnar Myrstrand, Folke Ohlsson was also represented with his armchair "Profil". In the catalogue, the armchair with its period streamlined undercarriage was described as follows: "We should all try to arrange a peaceful and comfortable corner small next to the social group with sofa and armchairs. With Profile from Dux you can really have a moment of complete relaxation."The model quickly became a favorite among customers, and at the Swedish Furniture Fair in 1957 the jury selected the armchair, to be exhibited later that year at the Nordic Gallery.
