Nerone Ceccarelli, stage name of Giovanni Ceccarelli (Pisa, August 31, 1937 - Paris, November 7, 1996), was an Italian sculptor. He worked under the banner of research characterized by the integration of art and architecture, while he elaborated sculptures linked to a rigorous geometric abstractionism.
From 1954 he lived between Venice and Florence, where his studies focused mainly on a number of Tuscan artists including Masaccio, Donatello, Paolo Uccello, and Giovanni Pisano. In the meantime he attended the sculpture course at the Academy of Florence and, following the family's move, at that of Venice, where he met his friend Giancarlo Patuzzi.
