Crafted from solid and veneered oak, the piece features a light golden natural finish that highlights the fine, linear grain typical of high-quality Scandinavian oak. 
Its design is structured and rectilinear, balancing open and closed storage with a divided upper section comprising a single open cubby on the left and a double-drawer module on the right. 
The entire assembly rests on an elegantly framed base with stretcher supports.Sven Engström founded an interior architect studio together with Gunnar Myrstrand in the late 1940’s. Sven Engström and Gunnar Myrstrand were a prominent Swedish design duo active primarily in the mid-20th century. 
Their work is characterized by architectural clarity and fine material craftsmanship, often combining practical functionality with understated detailing. They collaborated with respected Swedish manufacturers such as Tingströms and Bodafors, with their furniture appearing widely in both public and private interiors throughout Sweden during the postwar period.
